On Saturday, September 7, 2024, Beaker & Flask hosted a wine tasting class led by Scott Hampton, WSET 4, focusing on the concept of terroir and its profound impact on wine. WSET Level 4, known as the Diploma in Wines, is a prestigious qualification in the wine industry, signifying in-depth knowledge of global wine regions, production methods, and tasting skills. Scott’s expertise provided attendees with a deeper understanding of the complexities of terroir and its influence on the wine world.
Participants tasted an array of selections, from the chalky soils of Champagne to the limestone-laden vineyards of Burgundy and beyond. Each wine was paired with a classic film, elevating the tasting experience.
