Join us for an in-depth exploration of Echolands Winery, a thoughtfully crafted Walla Walla Valley producer dedicated to elegance, balance, and place. Guided by wine educator Scott Hampton, this tasting highlights how vineyard selection, restraint in winemaking, and responsible farming come together to express a distinctive sense of terroir.

Echolands Winery was founded in 2018 by Brad Bergmanand Doug Frost, MS, MW, two Kansas City residents who believed deeply in the Walla Walla Valley (Washington State) AVA’s ability to produce wines of nuance and sophistication. Working alongside winemaker and general manager Brian Rudin, Echolands focuses on responsibly produced, vineyard-driven wines that emphasize freshness, structure, and age-worthiness rather than power alone.

During this guided tasting, Scott will provide insight into Echolands’ philosophy, vineyard sources, and stylistic choices, while helping guests understand how varietal expression and vintage conditions shape each wine in the glass.

Echolands Grenache, Riviere-Galets Vineyard, Walla Walla Valley 2022 Bright and lifted, with red fruit, spice, and mineral-driven freshness. 

Echolands Syrah, Les Collines Vineyard, Walla Walla Valley (4-Year) 2018 Savory and complex, showing depth, structure, and the benefits of extended aging. 

Echolands Rubrum Red Wine, Walla Walla Valley 2019 A finely balanced red blend that emphasizes texture, harmony, and aromatic depth. 

Echolands Cabernet Franc, Blue Mountain Vineyard, Walla Walla Valley 2021 Elegant and expressive, with herbal lift, fine tannins, and vibrant acidity. 

 Echolands Syrah, Walla Walla Valley 2019 A polished expression of Syrah, balancing dark fruit, spice, and freshness.

This class is ideal for those who enjoy Rhône-inspired varietals, site-specific wines, and learning how thoughtful winemaking choices translate into balance and longevity.
