Underground Reds: Chillable Wines from Europe’s Best-Kept Secrets Wine Tasting Class with Sam Fundenburg

Sunday May 24th

Register HERE!

Join us for a refreshing detour from the usual red wine path at Daft Cow Brewery’s Event Room on Sunday, May 24 at 3 PM for a guided wine tasting class led by Sam Fundenburg.

This class explores the lighter, brighter side of red wine - bottles that shine with a slight chill and deliver freshness, texture, and surprising complexity. Guests will taste through five distinctive European reds from under-the-radar grapes and regions, including alpine Schiava from Alto Adige, juicy Gamay from Beaujolais, rustic Trousseau from France’s Jura, spicy Austrian Zweigelt, and a vibrant Sicilian blend of Frappato and Nerello Mascalese.

Whether you are a longtime wine lover or just looking for something new to enjoy in warmer weather, this class will introduce you to reds that are versatile, food-friendly, and perfect for sipping slightly chilled.

Featured Wines:

Elena Walch Schiava - Alto Adige, Italy Guy Breton “Marylou” Gamay - Beaujolais-Villages, France Domaine Maire & Fils Arbois Trousseau “Vignes Aux Anes” - Jura, France Vorspannhof Mayr Zweigelt - Austria Caruso & Minini Marsala Frappato / Nerello Mascalese - Sicily, Italy
