Join us for an immersive exploration of Italy’s red wine landscape, guided by wine educator Scott Hampton. This tasting highlights how geography, climate, and tradition shape distinctly Italian expressions - from the cool Alpine valleys of Alto Adige to the sun-drenched hills of Tuscany and the layered reds of Veneto.

We will taste five wines arranged from lighter, fresher styles to richer, more structured expressions, illustrating Italy’s remarkable range of balance, texture, and age-worthy complexity.

2023 Elena Walch Lagrein – Alto Adige A vibrant Alpine red with dark berry fruit, floral lift, and fresh acidity, showcasing the elegance of Lagrein in a cool-climate setting. Il Palazzone Rosso del Palazzone (NV) A supple, Sangiovese-based Tuscan red offering bright red fruit, savory notes, and everyday drinkability. 2019 Bartoli Giusti Brunello di Montalcino – Tuscany A classic Brunello with depth and structure, layered with cherry, earth, and spice, reflecting the power and longevity of Sangiovese from Montalcino. 2023 Tedeschi Valpolicella Lucchine – Veneto Light-bodied and expressive, with fresh red fruit and subtle herbal notes, highlighting Valpolicella’s elegance and versatility. 2021 Capitel San Rocco Ripasso – Rosso del Veronese – Veneto Richer and more textured, with dried fruit, cocoa, and spice, demonstrating the Ripasso method’s added depth and complexity.
